Giving back to the community has always been a core value for Abbas and his family. Prior to becoming an attorney, he served as a volunteer EMT for five years, including service at Ground Zero in New York City following the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Abbas serves on the Board of The Prentice School, a private nonprofit K–8 school supporting students with language-based learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. He previously served on the Board—and as Chair—of Priority Center, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse in Orange County.
